Handcrafted in Melbourne, from Premium American Rock Maple, surfaced on a CNC to be flat and true, and carefully hand sanded and oiled with a foodsafe hardwax oil. This board comes with a juice groove for capturing any liquids & finger holds for ease of movement
Rock maple is valued for use in premium cutting boards all over the world.
American Rock Maple has a nearly white or offwhite creamy color, sometimes with a reddish or golden hue. The grain can be wavy and has a fine, even texture.
End grain cutting boards offer a knife-friendly surface due to the vertical arrangement of wood fibers, which allows the knife blade to slide between them, reducing friction and preserving sharpness. They are highly durable and resistant to cuts and scratches, with a construction that absorbs the impact of knife cuts, ensuring they last longer than other types of cutting boards. Additionally, the wood fibers in end grain boards have self-healing properties, closing up after the knife is removed to maintain a smooth surface and reduce visible knife marks.
This medium sized board is always minimum 300mm wide and 40-45mm thick including its non marking, non slip feet. it will be between 385-400mm long (each board is cut to suit its individual strengths and for best appearance)
For our chopping boards we reccomend monthly maintenance in order to keep them looking and working their best.
- Applying a chopping board oil or board wax monthly prevents your board from drying out and potentiality cracking after repeated uses and any washes.
- Our shop made Mineral Oil and Chopping Board Wax is also available to buy to ensure your board stays in the best condition.

Medium end grain maple cutting board
Just received the board and it is beautiful. You can definitely feel that the quality is exceptional, and the craftsmanship is incredible, right down to the smallest details. Rob is an absolute legend to work with. He was transparent at every step of the process, kept me updated throughout, and when a small issue came up, he handled it proactively and resolved it promptly without any hassle. great quality and amazing craftsmanship!
I was ecstatic to receive the chopping board, I’ve used it now for a couple of weeks and can see the care and craftsmanship that was taken to make this. It’s also an extremely gorgeous board. Rob was also communicative in regards to delays in the order (to no fault of his own). Will definitely purchase another one when needed!

Incredible workmanship
Rob customised this cutting board for my order to become double sided. The end result was absolutely beautiful - clean lines, solid build, quality finish and appreciated the additional mineral balm too. It’s so pleasing in person!
