This wooden magnetic knife block is handcrafted in Sandhurst, Victoria, from reclaimed Australian hardwoods, finished in your choice of hardwax oil tone and polished to a gentle shine with a handmade beeswax creme. Australian made, it works as everyday knife storage that keeps your blades off the bench and within easy reach.

Each block contains two rows of rare earth (neodymium) magnets, with sufficient strength to hold a wide variety of knives in place. It is freestanding — it sits on the benchtop and holds your knives on its magnetic face, so there is no wall mounting or drilling required.

The standard height of the face is 255mm, meaning a knife that is 250mm or less from the bolster to the tip will fit the standard block (refer to the knife anatomy diagram in the product images).

Five lengths are available — Compact, Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. Face height stays the same across every size; only the width changes, so choose based on how much knife storage you need.

Capacity is approximate and depends on the width of your knives — wider chef's knives and cleavers take a little more room than paring or utility knives.

These knife blocks are made to order, with each one unique. They can be altered if a custom size is required, at minimal cost.

Is it freestanding or wall mounted?
Freestanding. The block sits on your benchtop and holds your knives on its magnetic face — there is no wall mounting or drilling.

Will it hold a cleaver or large knife?
Yes. The rare earth magnets hold heavy blades including cleavers and large chef's knives. Just check the 255mm face-height guide above — blades up to 250mm from bolster to tip sit within the standard face.

How do I care for it?
Give it an occasional refresh with tung oil, then a wipe of beeswax creme, to keep the timber protected and looking its best.

Can I get a custom size?
Yes. Every block is made to order, so it can be altered to a custom size at minimal cost — and other timbers (Maple, Walnut, Spotted Gum) are available as a special order. Just email or call.
